Priscilla Owens 1882

Born: July 21, 1829, Baltimore, Maryland.

Died: December 5, 1907, Baltimore, Maryland.

Owens was a teacher in Bal­ti­more, Ma­ry­land, for al­most half a cen­tu­ry. She taught Sun­day school at the Un­ion Square Meth­od­ist Epis­co­pal Church. Most of her hymns were writ­ten for her Sun­day school stu­dents. Much of her poetry appeared in the Methodist Protestant and the Christian Standard.
