Ian Burden's Testimony

My previous life was one of sin and with no direction.

My wife Rachel was a Christian already, going to church and being with other Christians has been very important to me - to see what Jesus could do for me.

I had felt that things had been changing for a while. And the death of a loved one Rachel's granddad and going to glory made me see/feel where I was going.

Everyone was celebrating his life now that he is with Jesus. I felt one evening when we were painting the hall we use on Sundays that I needed to tell Chalan, that a great weight / "had been removed" and I could breath again.

I was free of the world.

The hymn "Amazing grace" has meant nothing to me for years.

But now that by the grace of God I have been saved it means everything to me.
Psalm 145 verses 18-19

"The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on him in TRUTH. He fulfils the
desires of those who fear him, He hears their cry and
saves them"

The fellowship of other Christians and prayers are very important to me.
Going and now understanding the message more fully at sermons is a wonderful feeling.

I do ask myself this question

WHY ME?

His Grace is amazing!

Listen to the Hymn and read the words of "Amazing grace"
